VF Corp | The North Face, Timberland & Vans

VF Corp brought me in to photograph the people behind three of its biggest brands, inside The North Face, Timberland and Vans stores. These images will be used in hiring to help staff stores across the country and around the world, so they had to feel real. We photographed actual employees working with customers, doing what they do every day.

It was outside my usual outdoor lifestyle wheelhouse, and I love being challenged on what and how I create. We worked shoulder to shoulder with a video crew, so strobes were out. Constant lights meant a different approach to lighting and creating. We tackled three stores in two days, including one where we got into a mall at 5 am and wrapped before it opened for business.
